Summer Reading Continues...

Our on-line Summer Reading Program continues through August 31st. Follow the links from our young adult page to sign-up. An added bonus: receive a $5 fine coupon on any VHPL fines in addition to the great gift certificates and prize drawings you can earn and/or win from our local businesses.

We also have our weekly book drawing. Next time you're in the library and downstairs in the young adult area, fill out the simple form and perhaps your name will be selected. We have a bunch of new paperback books to select from including manga titles as well as fun beach reads.

One last thing... our teen book club selection for August is Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Many of you are required to read this for school. Why not pick up a copy at our circulation desk, read the book (it's a pretty quick read), and come watch the movie and briefly discuss the title. Or if you've already read the book, come join us to watch the movie on the big screen. We always have a nice selection of snacks and drinks as well as our ultimate favorite - popcorn! This month we meet on Wednesday, August 19th at 1 pm.
